Urology Northwest, PS is pleased to be able to offer both CT scans as well as plain radiography examinations on
site. We believe that having these services as part of the clinic improves healthcare outcomes for our patients.
Patients presenting with symptoms can have a full in-office work up including any CT or plain radiography exam, which can
shorten the time it takes to schedule a needed surgical procedure. When patients need to be referred to an outpatient
or hospital radiology center there is often a delay in securing an appointment, for the results to be finalized and returned
to the physician. At Urology Northwest, this can usually be accomplished in one office visit. We are capable of
performing most CT examination. We take every precaution to ensure a safe outcome. Patients are
thoroughly questioned concerning past allergies or other possible medical problems which may influence how the exam is
performed. We are set up to administer IV hydration when necessary. Patients can be referred
for radiology services by any licensed physician, ARNP or PA. Patients do not need to have a urological problem
and are not required to see one of our physicians. However, a provider is always on site when an exam is being
performed.
Insurance and Billing:
We do verify eligibility and benefits prior to performing the radiology exam. If for some reason the patient's
insurance company reimburses better in another setting the patient will be informed and given the option to have the exam
here or at the other facility. Patient covered by federal and/or state programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare
or Champva may receive two bills. One from Urology Northwest for the technical services and one from the radiologist
for his professional services. All other patients will receive one bill for the radiology services from Urology
Northwest, PS.
Equipment:
Our equipment is a combination of General Electric (CT scanner and x-ray imaging units) and Kodak (image processing units
for the radiographic suite). We use a state of the art 4 slice CT scanner with image reformation and limited 3D rendering
software. Our department is 100% digital. Patients and referring physicians can receive a CD of the requested
exam the same day the patient is in the clinic.
Professional Staff:
CT Radiology Technologist: We are pleased to have a CT/Radiology Technologist with over 30 years of experience.

exams he performs. He has a great way with patients and encourages patients and family members to ask questions. His
skill, knowledge and abilities allow patients to be more relaxed before and during the exam. Rick also performs phlebotomy

performed on site. He has 13 years of experience and is neuro-radiology trained. He provides written reports back
to the referring physicians within 48 hours, but is available for phone consults throughout the day. He receives the
images digitally making it possible for both he and our physicians to be looking at the images while discussing the case via
